The first collection of stunning Bedat timepieces was launched in 1997. Some of these pieces, the N°3, N°7., and Ref. 304, are among the most desirable used Bedat watches out there.
Ownership of the company has shifted over the years. The iconic Gucci Group acquired an 85% stake in the brand in 2000. Five years later, Gucci assumed sole ownership after purchasing the remaining 15%. Connections between brand and the Far East have been nurtured over the years and in 2008, two years after Simone and Christian Bédat had left the company, the first stand-alone Bedat boutique opened in Kuala Lumpur. A year later, Bedat & Co was acquired by Malaysian-based Luxury Concepts.
The quality and class that has become associated with the Bedat name remains a constant. The Bedat & Co No. 1 watch is definitely one to put top of any wishlist of used Bedat watches.
The No. 1 is a beautiful and refined timepiece with a silver dial. It was inspired by the French philosopher, Pascal, who famously wrote in the 18th Century that ‘the whole universe is contained within oneness.’ It’s certainly one to look out for. Featuring a stunning contemporary square stainless steel case with curved bezel, it is a beautiful design that definitely catches the eye.
